Boudoir Frequently asked questions

What most women ask before stepping in front of the camera—answered with love, honesty, and a little sparkle.

Who is boudoir for?
Boudoir is for every woman—at any age, size, stage, or season of life. Whether you're celebrating a milestone, reclaiming your confidence, or simply doing something bold for yourself, this experience is yours to define. You don’t need a reason—you just need to be ready to say yes to yourself.

What if I don’t know how to pose?
No stress—most of my clients don’t! I’ll guide you through every pose from your fingertips to your toes. I’ll show you how to soften your hands, angle your body, and breathe into the moment so you feel confident in every frame.

How many outfits should I bring?
Bring 3–5 looks you love, plus 1–2 extras just in case. We’ll start the session by chatting through your options and styling the lineup to match your vision, vibe, and comfort level.

How can I prepare emotionally for my session?
Start by giving yourself permission to take up space. It’s normal to feel a mix of excitement and nerves. Leading up to your session, try journaling, moving your body, or even just playing a playlist that makes you feel powerful. Most importantly—be kind to yourself. This is your time to show up as you are and leave feeling transformed.

What if I feel nervous or not “sexy enough”?
You’re not alone. Nearly every woman walks in feeling this way—and walks out glowing. Boudoir isn’t about performing sexy—it’s about rediscovering your confidence, beauty, and power on your terms.

Do you retouch the images?
Yes—lightly and lovingly. I remove things like blemishes, bruises, or marks that aren’t part of you. You’ll still look like yourself—just rested, radiant, and confident.

Can we shoot outside or at a special location?
Absolutely. I offer destination and outdoor sessions—think beaches, forests, waterfalls, and more. Let’s dream up something magical and totally you.

What about hair and makeup?
It’s included! Every session comes with professional hair and makeup styling tailored to your preferences. Whether you want soft and natural or bold and glam, my artist will make sure you feel beautiful and pampered from the start.

What products do you offer—and do I get the digital images?
I’m a full-service photographer, which means I focus on creating artwork you can touch, hold, and display. You'll choose from handcrafted albums, wall art, and fine prints. Select collections also include social media-sized images to share online. Everything is custom-designed with your favorite portraits.

When will I see my photos?
You’ll view your images in a private ordering appointment right after your session. That’s when the magic happens—you’ll choose your favorite images and build your custom collection.

Anything I should avoid before the shoot?
Yes—just a few things to keep you glowing. Skip spray tans, new-to-you skincare treatments, and anything tight-fitting that might leave marks. And definitely eat something light the morning of—fuel = confidence!

Why should I do this now?
Because you deserve to feel seen, celebrated, and confident—right now, not someday. Life doesn’t have to be perfect for you to say yes to yourself. This experience is about honoring who you are in this moment and creating something lasting that reminds you of your power every single day.
